2023 Jeep Wrangler at Platinum Chrysler Dodge Ram Jeep

The Jeep Wrangler is revered by automotive critics, off-roaders, and everyday drivers alike. It is well-respected for various reasons, from its emblematic open-air design to its far superior off-roading abilities. The inspiration for the Wrangler's design can be traced back to 1941 when Willys-Overland was contracted by the U.S. Army to provide half-ton 4x4s. Later, the Willys Jeep MB was made available to the public in the form of the CJ, or Civilian Jeep. Fast forward to the present day, and the Jeep Wrangler still serves as a reminder that the Jeep Brand is deeply rooted in American history. As it returns for the 2023 model year, the Jeep Wrangler is more stylish, comfortable, and capable than ever before. Please continue reading below to learn more. Standard Features for the 2023 Wrangler

The 2023 Jeep Wrangler comes with an array of standard features that range from basic everyday needs to off-roading equipment to more advanced comfort and convenience. At most trim levels, the Wrangler is equipped with a removable soft top, a fold-down windshield, and two removable doors for iconic open-air freedom. However, the Sahara and High Altitude trim levels come standard with a body-color removable hard top and a four-door body style, which Jeep calls Unlimited. The Wrangler Sport kicks off the 2023 lineup with standard exterior features including black 17-inch steel wheels, high-strength steel underbody skid plates, black bumpers, black fender flares, black side mirrors, and Dana solid axles. Stepping behind the wheels of the Wrangler Sport, you'll be greeted by analog gauges on either side of a 4.2-inch digital driver information display, one-way drain plugs, six speakers, push-button ignition, a 7-inch infotainment touchscreen, cloth upholstery, and Android Auto/Apple CarPlay.

What Features Come Standard with the Higher Trim Levels?

The Wrangler Sport S picks up where the Sport leaves off, adding power windows/door locks, alloy wheels, automatic headlights, power-adjustable/heated side mirrors, and deep tinted rear glass. The Willys trim captures the Wrangler's military inspiration and adds knobby 32-inch mud-terrain tires, rock rails, off-roading suspension, a locking rear differential, LED exterior lighting, and all-weather floor mats. The Sahara takes a more comfortable approach with body-color fender flares, 18-inch alloy wheels, remote proximity keyless entry, a body-color hard top, four doors, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, an 8.4-inch touchscreen with navigation, and nine-speaker Alpine premium audio. The Rubicon trim tops off the lineup with the off-road capabilities we've come to expect from the Wrangler. It comes standard with rock rails, 33-inch all-terrain tires, FOX shock absorbers, front and rear locking differentials, Rock-Trac 4x4, and a disconnecting front sway bar.

Powertrain Options for the 2023 Jeep Wrangler

Much like the Wrangler's lineup of trim levels, the powertrain lineup is extensive, offering five engines, two transmissions, and three 4x4 systems. The most basic setup includes a 3.6-liter V6 engine and Jeep's Command-Trac part-time 4x4 system powered by a 6-speed manual transmission. This setup fetches you 285 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. The Sahara and High Altitude trims come with the otherwise optional 2.0L turbocharged inline four-cylinder engine, laying down 270 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque with an 8-speed automatic transmission powering the Selec-Trac full-time 4x4 system. The Willys, Sahara, Rubicon, and High Altitude trims are eligible for the 4xe plug-in hybrid system, featuring the 2.0L turbocharged engine and a rechargeable EV battery pack powering two electric motors. This pumps out an impressive 375 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque while maintaining the equivalent of 49 MPG. This system is also mated to Selec-Trac 4x4 and an 8-speed automatic transmission. Last but surely not the least is the 6.4L HEMI V8 exclusive to the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392. This monster rips out 470 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque for an exhilarating driving experience on and off the pavement. Exclusive to the Rubicon trim is the Rock-Trac 4x4 transfer case with a low-range gear ratio of 4:1 to maintain better control while overcoming steep, rugged terrain.
